Ken McCardell grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan, the youngest of five children. He went to a Christian elementary school, where the seeds of faith were planted. As a youth he was a state champion wrestler for the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan with the Bloomer Club in Detroit. Much of his time growing up was spent with friends playing on a variety of sporting teams.

Ken graduated from Rochester Adams High School and went on to receive a finance degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. During his college years he spent time as a jet-ski tour guide in the Virgin Islands as well as a financial analyst for the Comerica bank purchasing department.

Beginning in 2002, Ken spent several years as the manager of a cattle ranch in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana, transitioning it from conventional to organic and humane production methods. While in Montana, he began writing poetry, which eventually took a spiritual turn and became today's BibleRhymes. For pictures of Ken, click here.

Ken gives special thanks to: God, for everything; to Antonella Chirco, illustrator of BibleRhymes and an irreplaceable friend; to his brother Steve, consultant, editor, and typesetter for BibleRhymes as well as a mentor and role model; to his Mom and Dad, "the parents that everyone should have had;" and to all of his family and friends that have been a part of his life and supported him in so many ways.

To everyone who is reading this (that's YOU), you are the reason for BibleRhymes.
